Writing can be a blessing and a curse. Its the feeling that is my content good or is it bad? Now with SEO Analytics we can see how many read a post or in my case those who don’t. So the idea of failure is pictured right from the start. With blogging being mainstreamed now its easier not only to see stats of posts but also to get connected to others who understand first blogs don’t always work. When I started this blog I didn’t expect a high reader content at all. I really just figured it would take time and effort of content to really make a difference with those who read it. I’ve only been at it two weeks and still my readers are low. That hasn’t stopped me from posting. In fact its given me the reason to question some of my writing. What is considered good content verses bad? What are people really connecting over when it comes to content? These are some of the questions I’ve been asking myself. I’ve also looked at what makes a blog great and what makes it fail. Honestly failure isn’t something I really thought of for this blog. This isn’t for me to make money but something I enjoy doing. Getting my ideas heard or even not heard but by a few has been liberating to me. I have connected with some great people and the support other writers give one another has lifted my spirits. Its great to see with cancel culture others supporting you and you’ve never even met them. To think a complete stranger giving you support in a tiny way makes such a huge difference is incredible. I hope to create the same support to other writers. So back to the questions, is it content or is it what the person is writing creates a connection that makes a difference to people? Here is where I find myself creating more questions with the questions I already have. It’s a rabbit hole that when you start the thoughts it never seems to stop. Content, I have come to the conclusion, depends on the readers end and how they do or don’t connect with it. Some use blogs for advice, insights and like me just to have a voice heard to connect with people with similar passions. In the end the real difference is your audience. That itself opens a can of worms with more questions but it is true I feel. I would like to hear other bloggers views who have more experience in the blogging world. Comments are welcomed and I do hope to revisit the idea of content when I have been doing this longer. I feel comparison after some time and comments will be even better.
