As a new blogger its interesting to see on social media the trends for blogging. I really was looking for some type of guidance to how to get this started really. When I did put hashtag blogging into Twitter it was interesting. Apparently majority of bloggers want to make money from their blogs or at least that is the common view when your looking it up. I am just looking to connect with other bloggers, get feedback and just get my voice out into the world. Not a high goal maybe to some but I believe in small steps to make large movements. Three days straight I put blogging into my Twitter search bar and so far here is what I have gathered. I do feel connected with more people than before. Which for me a huge step because I always want to connect with others on Twitter but never made a lot of connections. But still lost in ways to get my blog content out into the world. I know I don’t have much at the start when it comes to content. If anyone does they probably planned this out better than I have. A failed blog is still an experience I wouldn’t mind having if that is something that takes place. Experiences are always a healthy thing. It seems I have noticed that there are other bloggers that have done this more then once and failure has helped them realize what they did right and what they did wrong. Regardless of success or failure putting yourself out to the world to have commented on is an accomplishment. It takes guts to blog or write. While good news travels, bad news always travels twice as fast. I really think blogging might be looked at now as a money maker and have a stereotype linked with it. Only I really think looking on Twitter has helped me connect with others that are just like me. Looking to write and share our passion together as a community. Which is inspirational and wonderful to see how just one social media platform can connect the world. I’m really looking forward to creating content for readers just like me and one day I’ll be giving the blog advance. While I might have come to these conclusions early in research stages of blogging I will want to revisit this concept of blogging on social media for the hashtags down the road to see how it changes over time with the people I connect with.

  1. Blogging is nothing like Twitter or Facebook. And whilst some people mistakenly believe they can make money from blogging, that is not the motivation for those of us who have been doing it for a long time. (8 years, in my case)
I appreciate you following my blog, and if I can ever be of any help on your blogging journey, feel free to email me.
    Best wishes, Pete.
